About us

Mega Pop is a Dutch company located in Nederweert (The Netherlands).
Our main activity is the production and marketing of sheet music for various instruments.

Eric Kessels and John Hoevenaars started to publish in 1989. Very succesful were the keyboard albums, especially the keyboard course "I Believe In Keyboard", (now "De Keyboardmethode") This course is the number 1 product for the keyboardeducation in the Dutch-speaking region..

Since 1994, the single sheet music Mega Pop started. This edition on which you can subscribe is now available for various instruments such as keyboard, piano, accordion, C, Bes, and Es instruments.

From year 2006, the authors created Mega Pop Easy because of the enormous need to play pop music in an early stage. Mega Pop Easy is published for keyboard, piano, accordion and classical guitar.


Eric Kessels:
  • saw the light of life on the 7th of february 1963 and as a real aquarius, his ideas are always stunning.
  • has graduated at the conservatory Maastricht for accordion, electronic orgel, keyboards and synthesizer.
  • plays also the piano, guitar and bassguitar.
  • is working as a teacher accordion, keyboard & musicproduction and he is bandcoach at RICK in Weert.
  • performes at the weekend and sings "live on stage" in "Duo-Change".
  • is also teaching in small workshops: Cubase SX, FL Studio (Fruityloops) en Sibelius.

John Hoevenaars:
  • saw the light of life on the 31of march 1967 and as a real aries stands for that what he is thinking.
  • has graduated at the conservatory Maastricht for electronic orgel, keyboard and synthesizer.
  • plays also alto saxophone (studied jazz music for 3 years).
  • is working as a private-teacher.
  • performes at the weekend and sings "live on stage" in "Duo Side by Side".
